Nitro XRC: Nitro Revolution MT

There are two ways to look at the Nitro Revolution MT. It's either a tall & tough "stadium truck" or a compact monster truck. Either way, it's mean, it's fast, and it's ready to take on some seriously rough terrain.
Body
The body is made from tough polycarbonate plastic, also known as Lexan (yeah, the stuff they make bulletproof windows from). It's very lightweight and can bouce back after a serious crash & still take more abuse. The material is actually clear, and it's painted from the inside so that scratches can only affect outside stickers and not the paint itself. Silver and dark red are the colors we've seen so far. More body styles will eventually be available as upgrades!
Suspension
The Nitro Revolution MT has working four-wheel independent double-wishbone suspension with coil-over springs. It comes with split 5-spoke rims and Swamper-style tires to give plenty of forward traction on loose dirt & sand as well as getting over large gravel or other rough surfaces. Upgrade wheel & tire packages will be available later so that you can really customize your truck to your style and driving needs.
Power
The truck is powered by a .12 cubic inch one-cylinder rear-mounted engine that uses nitro fuel (not gasoline!). Read a little more about nitro fuel & nitro engines by clicking here. The engine has an aluminum heatsink head and a tuned muffler that's actually mounted just in front of it. Power goes through a centrifugal clutch into a single-speed transmission that ultimately drives the rear wheels. A fuel tank, about 75 cc in size (an estimate), is mounted a safe distance behind the engine. To add fuel, you lift the spring-loaded fuel tank cap with one finger and insert a racing-style no-spill refillable fuel canister.
The engine can be tuned by turning a single knob connected to a needle valve on the carburetor, to change the fuel-air mixture. Next to this is a foam air filter that can be removed & cleaned when needed.
Accessories
The Nitro Revolution MT comes with more than just a radio controller (transmitter) and an instruction manual. It's not a full-sized truck, so there's no key to put in an ignition switch to turn it on. Instead, there's a glow igniter (explained here) and a hand-held, battery-powered rotary starter. It looks like a cordless drill works like a kick-start on a dirt bike. You insert it into a chuck on the side of the truck, and it spins the motor to get it started.
